The orthosis made of thermal plastic gets softer when it’s heated.The doctor shapes it, as required, to fix the injured limb. While the orthosis is being shaped, the temperature of the plastic remains comfortable. In a few minutes the orthosis cools, creating a light but rigid and secure immobilizing structure.
